Faculty
Every staff member has been selected by Mr. Robert Mann and have proven themselves as a quality dance educator, as well as an accomplished dancer. Mr. Mann and many of the teachers here at the Centre, are certified by test to teach by The Dance Masters of America, Inc. one of the oldest and largest dance teacher organizations in the country.
ROBERT MANN– INSTRUCTOR/DIRECTOR
Mr. Mann is Past President of both the National Dance Masters of America Organization and it's local New York City Chapter. He is now serving both of these organizations as Executive Director. In addition to these positions, Mr. Mann is on the national and local faculties as teacher or adjudicator for the Dance Masters of America, Dance Education of America Inc., The North American Tap Dance Association, The American Dance Awards and the Headliners Competitions.
ANNMARIE MILOHNIC– INSTRUCTOR
Annmarie Milohnic began dancing at the Robert Mann Dance Centre at the age of three. She then attended Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, which was where she had the opportunity to work with many major dance companies. She continued her dance education at Queens College, graduating with departmental honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. Throughout college she danced and choreographed for many showcases and has been a part of the annual Croatian Youth Festival. She has also taught workshops for Dance Masters of America on both a regional and national level.
Since the age of fifteen, Annmarie has been assisting Mr. Mann and since then has been a part of his faculty. Although she loves being on stage and performing in front of an audience she found her true passion in teaching and choreographing. Seeing her students excel in the art of dance has been the most gratifying and rewarding experience for her.
ANDRIJ CYBYK– INSTRUCTOR
Andrij Cybyk is an American by birth, Ukrainian by heritage and gypsy at heart. He is well known as a dancer, teacher and choreographer in various styles of contemporary and traditional dance. As a dancer, he has toured the country and the world with companies like AllNations, Michael Mao Dance, Nai-Ni Chen, the Duquesne University Tamburitzans, Barynya and, most recently, with the American, European and Corporate Event companies of Riverdance. He has been featured as a guest artist with the New Jersey Ballet, Northwest Florida Ballet, Montgomery Ballet, Mobile Ballet, Connecticut Ballet, Anglo-American Ballet, Brighton Ballet, and the Shore Ballet companies.
As a teacher, he has taught workshops in New York City, upstate New York, New Jersey, Texas, China, Aruba, Taiwan and Brazil. He has been an Artist in Residence at Stephen College twice, has been a guest instructor for Dancemasters of America and has staged numerous choreographies for the Tamburitzans. He is currently the Artistic Director for the Iskra Ukrainian Dance Academy in Whippany, New Jersey.
NATALIA EJOVA– INSTRUCTOR
Natalia Ejova was born in Obninsk, Russia. At the age of six, she began training in Rhythmic Gymnastics. Over the next twelve years, she rose to be one of the top competitors in all of Russia. After leaving gymnastic competition, Natalia turned her attention and energy to dance. She became a member of the top cabaret show in all of Russia, Alex Show, and, in time, became a choreographer and dance captain.
At any opportunity, Natalia traveled throughout Europe to attend and train at various dance festivals, studying with some of the top teachers in the world including Mark Haim, Desmond Richardson, and Matt Mattox. Back in Moscow, she was hired by the Imperial Russian Ballet under Maya Plisetskaya and toured Russia and the world. She was awarded a scholarship to American Dance Festival where she continued her studying and performing in Durham, North Carolina.
When she chose to stay in the United States, she performed with companies such as Momix, Complexions and with Nina Buisson. She trained with Tatiana Petruk and mastered Aerial Artistry, performing in the silk hammock. She also ventured into Folk and Character Dancing, performing with the ensemble Barynya. Natalia spent most of 2008 touring with the North American and Irish tours of Riverdance. Currently, Natalia is a freelance dancer and a teacher of Rhythmic Gymnastics..
Sarah Jo Fazio– INSTRUCTOR
Sarah Jo Fazio currently lives in New York City and is choreographing and teaching all over the country. She most recently choreographed the UDMA fashion show and was seen on the CBS morning show. She has served as co-choreographer and artistic consultant on the Las Vegas show "Bite" for Molyneux Entertainment as well as choreographed the Carman "Heart of a Champion" tour which premiered on Pay Per View, as well as the Dino "Christmas Spectacular" which aired on QVC.
She has choreographed and directed Six Flags productions all over the country and has co-produced the show "Industrial Movement" for Silvertree Productions. She has choreographed half time shows for the New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City CAVS and has directed the show "Cirquo Magnifico" in Houston, TX. Her choreographic credits include such musicals as "Crazy For You", "Anything Goes", "Damn Yankees", "Grease", "Les Miserables", "Singing In The Rain", and "Suessical-The Musical". Sarah is the past recipient of the "America's Young Choreographer Award", and has worked with one of the original top ten American Idol contestants.
She is a graduate of Oklahoma City University, and recently won the Distinguished Alumni Award. She works for such organizations as Dance Olympus, Masquerade,Tamjams and Dance America. Sarah has many CD's on the Statler Recording Label as well as a dance instructional video for intermediate and advanced dancers.
CHRISTOPHER HOWARD– INSTRUCTOR
Having just completed the international tour of "A Chorus Line," Christopher has returned to New York City after completing two years as a scholarship student at the Joffrey Ballet School.
Prior to his studies at Joffrey, Christopher received a BFA in Music Theatre and a BA in Dance from SUNY Buffalo and has worked for many notable theatre and dance companies, including Dayton Ballet, Neglia Ballet, Celebrity Cruise Lines, ArtPark, and MusicalFare Theatre Company.
AARON MCGLOIN– INTRUCTOR
Aaron McGloin was born and raised in Arizona, and graduated with honors from Arizona State University with a BFA in Dance (Choreography). Over the past few years he has had the privilege of performing with companies such as Dance Arizona Repertory Theater, Scorpius Dance Theatre, Temenos Dance Collective, CONDER/Dance, and AMEBA Acrobatic and Aerial Dance of Chicago.
He was the winner of the Arizona Choreography Competition in 2006, was awarded merit scholarships to attend the Bates Dance Festival in both 2006 and 2008, and recently won Dance Magazine's Video of the Month - Critics' Choice Award. The Chicago Tribune has called his choreography "quirky" and "whimsical" and has been compared to work by great artists such as Susan Marshall.
