Jay Barrett was bom in Miami, Florida. He received his dance training in New York City at Fiorello H. La Guardia High School of the Per- forming Arts, as well as Martha Graham School of Dance. Mr. Barrett has served as a principal dancer, rehearsal director and master teacher for Ballet Lubbock, City Ballet of Los Angeles, Company of Dance Arts, Delaware Dance Company and Urban Ballet Theater. He has also been seen on stage in Broadway's A Few Good A4en, Disney's Hercules and the New York City Opera's Salome. Television credits include the PBS special Spirit Dance. Mr. Barrett has taught ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern and tap for Dancemasters of America, Robert Mann's Dance Academy, Central Park Dance and the Academy of Dance Arts.
